Simple Breathwork Technique (Box Breathing)

Box Breathing Activity:

This technique helps regulate your breath and can promote relaxation by activating the body's parasympathetic nervous system. It's a simple and effective way to bring focus to your breath and promote a sense of calmness.


Always check with your physician before attempting any type of Breathwork exercises and make sure they are right for you.


  • Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit with your back straight.
  • Gently close your eyes to help minimize distractions and focus inward.
  • Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose, counting to four. Feel your lungs fill with air.
  • Hold your breath for a count of four. Keep your lungs filled with air during this pause.
  •  Exhale slowly and completely through your mouth, counting to four. Feel the release of tension.
  • Pause and keep your lungs empty for a count of four before inhaling again.
  • Continue this practice for a few to several minutes (whatever feels most comfortable to you).
  • Once you're finished notice how much calmer you feel.
